Diamondbacks general manager Kevin Towers said it's "highly unlikely" the team will trade Justin Upton following the three-team deal with the Reds and Indians.
Towers said that he will "always listen" to offers, but with Arizona's need for a shortstop met, Upton is expected to stay put. That would seem to enhance the chances that free agent Josh Hamilton re-signs with the Rangers, as the other impact players that Texas has targeted this winter have since agreed to offers with other teams.
