Report: D'Backs agree to deal with McCarthy

John Gambadoro of 620 KTAR in Phoenix reports that the Diamondbacks have agreed to a deal with free agent right-hander Brandon McCarthy, pending a physical.
No word yet on the contract terms. McCarthy posted a 3.24 ERA and 72/24 K/BB ratio over 111 innings this past season prior to being hit in the head with a line drive and undergoing emergency brain surgery, but he was recently cleared for all baseball activities. We would like him more in Oakland from a fantasy baseball perspective, but he should be a productive member of Arizona's rotation if he can stay healthy. With the addition of McCarthy, the D'Backs may be more inclined to move one of their young pitchers in a trade.
