Fujikawa gets two-year deal from Cubbies
Kyuji Fujikawa - R - Chicago Cubs
Dec. 7, 2012 - 12:45 PM ET

Cubs signed RHP Kyuji Fujikawa to a two-year, $9.5 million contract.

There's also a vesting option for 2015. Fujikawa will be introduced at a press conference Friday, but he's obviously already passed his physical in order to make the deal official. The Japanese import posted a 1.77 ERA and 11.8 K/9 across 12 seasons of Nippon Professional Baseball. Although the Cubs plan to start next season with Carlos Marmol as their closer, Fujikawa will be a popular fantasy selection for those speculating for saves.
