Scutaro to Giants 50/50, Cardinals lurking
Marco Scutaro - 2B - San Francisco Giants
Dec. 4, 2012 - 8:10 PM ET

ESPN's Buster Olney hears that the chances of Marco Scutaro re-signing with the Giants are 50/50, with the Cardinals representing the most likely alternative.

Olney adds that Scutaro is expected to make a decision soon. The Giants have reportedly offered Scutaro a two-year deal with a vesting option for a third year, while it's unclear what the Cards are offering. While San Francisco offers familiarity, St. Louis does have the benefit of their spring training complex being in Florida, where the 37-year-old lives. The Yankees have also expressed interest in the veteran infielder, but it appears to be a two-horse race at the moment.
