Edelman likely to miss 'extended' amt of time

ESPN's Adam Schefter stated on Monday Night Countdown that Julian Edelman "looks like he's going to be out for an extended period" due to a foot injury suffered in Sunday's win over the Dolphins.
The run-blocking receiver emerged from the win on crutches and sporting a walking boot. The secretive Patriots aren't going to divulge details of Edelman's injury, but it appears to be either a high ankle sprain or severe foot sprain, if not something more severe. Edelman can be dropped in re-draft leagues. The Patriots have signed Donte' Stallworth as receiver depth in the meantime.
