Danny Knobler of CBSSports.com reports that the Angels have acquired Tommy Hanson from the Braves in exchange for Jordan Walden.
Hanson's stock has dropped big time over the last year as shoulder problems cropped up and his velocity declined, which is why the Braves were only able to get a reliever for him. He's also arbitration-eligible for the first time this winter. That said, if he can rediscover some lost pep on his fastball, he could be a nice mid-rotation starter for the Angels. Walden strengthens an already very formidable Braves bullpen.
