Ken Rosenthal of FOXSports.com reports that the Reds are in "serious" talks with Jonathan Broxton regarding a three-year deal.
If they're able to cross the finish line with a deal, Broxton would almost surely become the Reds' closer, pushing Aroldis Chapman into the rotation. The big right-hander's stuff isn't nearly what it was, but he pitched well for the Royals and Reds in 2012, putting up a 2.48 ERA with 45 strikeouts over 58 innings.
