Max Scherzer was shaky in Sunday's 10-8, 10-inning win over the Indians, allowing four runs on 10 hits in five innings of work.
Scherzer walked one and struck out nine in the no-decision. The 28-year-old righty is now up to 160 strikeouts through 127 2/3 innings. He's fanned at least eight batters in each of his past four starts. Scherzer will bring a 4.72 ERA and 1.41 WHIP into his Friday start in Texas. Despite the strikeouts, you'll likely want to keep him benched for that one.
