A source familiar with the decision tells the Associated Press that Jets CB Darrelle Revis will report to training camp on time.
We suspected all spring and summer that the Revis-holdout notion was media-hatched, and this all but confirms it. Revis was asked repeatedly without provocation by reporters during the offseason whether he would report to camp on time. When he was noncommittal, the "holdout" idea became a story, even though he participated fully in the entire offseason program. Revis probably isn't thrilled with his $4.5 million base salary after lesser CBs Cortland Finnegan and Brandon Carr signed huge contracts in March, but he'll be in camp on time. The Jets will likely readdress Revis' contract following the 2012 season.
