Broncos lock up K Prater with 4-year contract
Matt Prater - K - Denver Broncos
July 2, 2012 - 2:35 PM ET

Broncos agreed to terms with franchise player K Matt Prater on a four-year contract.

Financial terms are currently unavailable, but Prater is expected to make over $3 million per season. One of the stars of the Tim Tebow show last season, Prater drained four "walkoff" field goals, and converted 3-of-4 kicks from beyond 50 yards. He finished a disappointing 30th in kicker fantasy points, but that figures to change in a big way with Peyton Manning in town. If you're into drafting a kicker in fantasy football, Prater will be one to target in 2012.
