Brian Hartline recovering from appendectomy
Brian Hartline - WR - Miami Dolphins
July 2, 2012 - 2:25 AM ET

Brian Hartline's minicamp absence was due to an appendectomy, but he's expected to be ready for training camp.

Hartline made the disclosure in a recent radio interview. There's no such thing as a minor surgery, but with well over a month to recover, Hartline should be 100 percent for camp. Kansas City's Matt Cassel started a game just 11 days after undergoing an appendectomy in 2010. Perhaps we'll learn more about Hartline's surgery on Hard Knocks, which will also shed light on his quest to earn Miami's No. 1 receiver job.
