Stephen Strasburg held the Rays to two runs on five hits in seven innings of Wednesday's 3-2 victory, striking out 10 as he improved to 9-1.
Strasburg allowed a run apiece in the second and third before settling down to finish his night with four scoreless frames. The double-digit strikeout effort was his second in three starts, and third of the season. His 110 punchouts lead the big leagues. Washington's sensational 23 year old will bring a 2.46 ERA and 1.04 WHIP into his Monday start in Coors Field.
