New coach Chuck Pagano characterized Donald Brown as an "every-down back" during Colts OTAs.
The addition of passing-down maven Mewelde Moore suggests Pagano's statement is little more than coachspeak. "Donald is an every-down back," Pagano said. "He is doing a tremendous job and he is having a fantastic offseason." We do like Brown's chances of leading Indianapolis in rushing yards, but a workhorse we strongly doubt he'll be. Even Pagano conceded he wants to keep his running backs "fresh," and the Colts will "use them for sure" if Delone Carter, Darren Evans, and rookie Vick Ballard show well in contact work.
