Ryan Braun (Achilles) not playing Friday

Ryan Braun (Achilles) is not in Friday's lineup against the Giants.
Achilles injuries are tricky business, but Braun is believed to be truly day-to-day. It's possible the Brewers will opt for the utmost caution and hold him out through the Sunday conclusion of their six-game West Coast road trip, however. Milwaukee returns home on Monday to take on the Reds. Braun's status will be updated on Saturday.
