Detwiler takes first loss of the season Fri.
Ross Detwiler - S - Washington Nationals
April 28, 2012 - 1:30 AM ET

Ross Detwiler took his first loss of the season Friday, giving up three runs over six innings against the Dodgers.

Detwiler scattered five hits (including a two-run homer by Andre Ethier) and two walks while striking out four. It was the first time he had allowed more than one earned run in a start this season. Chien-Ming Wang (hamstring) is scheduled to begin a rehab assignment Saturday, so he's still assured of at least a couple more turns in the rotation. The 26-year-old left-hander will carry a 1.64 ERA into a start against the Diamondbacks next week.
