Ted Lilly (neck) will begin the season on the disabled list.
Lilly made it through a bullpen session Friday without any issues, but he simply doesn't have enough time to get stretched out for the start of the season. Dodgers' manager Don Mattingly said the current plan is for him to throw a simulated game in Anaheim on April 2 before making a rehab start with High-A Rancho Cucamonga on April 8. If all goes well, he'll return when the Dodgers need a fifth starter for the first time on April 15.
