Twins claim OF Mastroianni off waivers

Twins claimed OF Darin Mastroianni off waivers from the Blue Jays.
Mastroianni was designated for assignment last week to make room for Francisco Cordero on Toronto's 40-man roster. The 26-year-old appeared in one game with the Blue Jays last season, but spent the majority of 2011 in the minors, batting .268/.353/.377 with three homers, 36 RBI, 34 stolen bases and a .730 OPS between Double- and Triple-A. He'll likely be ticketed for Triple-A Rochester.
