Inspired by the prognostications of the late, great sports handicapper Paul the Octopus — who correctly picked the winners of eight World Cup matches in 2010 — NBCSports.com ventured to the Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium in Tacoma, Wash., recently to see if Rocky the Octopus could rival his famed distant cousin.

Well, he didn’t quite match Paul, but 3-0 ain’t bad, is it?
