Deron Williams caught fire against the Wizards on Friday, scoring a season-high 42 points with three rebounds, five assists, one steal and 11 3-pointers.
He set a franchise record for 3-pointers in a game and his nine makes in the first half were the most in a half in NBA history. Williams buried his first eight attempts and made his 10th attempt in the first minute of the second half, so it's a mild shock that he didn't break the NBA record of 12 in a game. He was making 48 percent of his 3-point attempts since the break even before this explosion and has to be considered one of the hottest players in the NBA.
