Kyle Lowry failed to score in the first half and finished with just five points, two rebounds, four assists, two steals and a 3-pointer on 2-of-3 shooting in 21 minutes on Wednesday.
Sebastian Telfair, who was traded to Toronto from the Suns, entered the game for Lowry in the first half and didn't sit down before halftime, finishing with one of his best games of the season. He had 13 points, seven assists, four steals and three 3-pointers in 27 minutes, and he played the entire fourth quarter with Lowry on the bench. Dwane Casey likely wanted to turn Telfair loose against his former team, as Telfair's kids still live in Phoenix and go to school there. While this was a disappointing night for Lowry and his owners, we doubt seriously that Telfair is going to ruin his value going forward.
