Deron Williams played through a sprained right (shooting) wrist in Monday's win over the Knicks, and finished with 16 points, six rebounds, three steals, and a season-high 14 assists in 43 minutes.
Williams' shooting wrist is always something owners should pay attention to no matter how minor the injury seems. In a case that was much more serious than both he and the Jazz were willing to report, the same wrist caused him to take an early exit two seasons ago. We're not saying this is the case here at all, and Williams has said the injury is not related to his wrist surgery and instead it occurred on a dunk attempt from Friday. Our advice is to not let this specific ailment impact your assessment unless it lingers.
