Top NCAA prospect Dan DeKeyser picks Detroit

Dan DeKeyser has signed with the Detroit Red Wings.
DeKeyser drew interest from around the league, but the Michigan-native decided to stay close to home. DeKeyser was also pursued by most of the NHL in 2012 before he ultimately decided to spend one more season with Western Michigan University. "It's not unfathomable to think Danny DeKeyser could get an offer from every team," Flyers GM Paul Holmgren said last year. "He could be the complete package." Dekeyser had two goals and 15 points in 35 NCAA contests this season.
