Dan Boyle is aware that his name has come up in trade rumors and he doesn't want to play anywhere but in San Jose.
"This is where I want to be. I don't want to be anywhere else," he said. "You guys have been with me for five years and you know what I bring to the table. I don't want to be anywhere else. It's not fun to hear that. The only other time my name was involved was five years ago. Sometimes where there's smoke there's fire, and I hope in this case, it's not the case. It's hard not to pay attention to that stuff." The Sharks are in the thick of a tough playoff race and currently hold the eighth spot in the Western Conference with a 12-10-6 record. However, the team has posted a mark of 5-10-6 since Feb. 1 and GM Doug Wilson is believed to be willing to make some moves. Boyle does have a limited no-trade clause and one more year after this season left on his current contract.
