Florida Panthers GM Dave Tallon said Tuesday morning that Jacob Markstrom will be the team's primary goaltender for the time being.
Starting goalie Jose Theodore will be sidelined for five to six weeks with a groin injury, clearing a path for Markstrom to take his crack at the Panthers' No. 1 goalie job. Markstrom wasn't great in a pair of starts earlier this season, but at this point almost anything is better than Theodore. Markstrom is worth a speculative add in deeper leagues and bears watching in standard formats.
