Brandon McMillan played 6:39 minutes in his seasonal debut for the Ducks Monday.
McMillan saw fourth line action alongside Emerson Etem and Patrick Maroon and was minus-one on the evening. He missed 19 games in the AHL this season with a broken arm and received the call up after scoring four goals in his last eight games for Norfolk of the AHL. "I knew I was playing really well and I knew if I kept playing the same way, I was going to get an opportunity," McMillan said. "I realized I could come back in and be able to prove myself again. Sitting down there and just waiting, it wasn't good enough. It's not good enough. I want to be here and this is where I want to play." Don't expect a lot of stats from McMillan if he remains as a bottom six forward, but he will chip in with an occasional goal.
