Andrew Shaw has played well in his checking-line role with Chicago this season.
He has been playing between Bryan Bickell and Viktor Stalberg on the Blackhawks' third unit, where he has four goals and three assists in 19 games. Shaw has also added 15 penalty minutes and 31 hits this campaign. "[Shaw has] really progressed in the middle, and you've got to like his knowing where to go," coach Joel Quenneville said. "Offensively, defensively, he finds a way to be an influence shift to shift."
