Cam Fowler has been out the past eight games because of an apparent head injury suffered on Feb. 2, and the Ducks have won seven of those contests, but don't be surprised if the defenseman returns to the Anaheim lineup today.
Fowler has been cleared by the Ducks' medical team to play and, while coach Bruce Boudreau played coy when asked if the defenseman would be back today, he ultimately said: He will "probably be in." Fowler says he's ready. Now comes the interesting decision on which defenseman to drop from the lineup. Newly acquired Ben Lovejoy has capably filled in with three assists in six games. Boudreau has said that he would give Toni Lydman and Sheldon Souray occasional games off for rest.
