Taylor Hall has received a two-game suspension for kneeing Minnesota Wild forward Cal Clutterbuck.
Hall will be ineligible to play on Saturday and Monday as a result. Clutterbuck sustained at least a thigh contusion and the full extent of the damage isn't clear. Hall argued that his hit wasn't dirty and that he felt he hit Clutterbuck with his hip rather than his knee. NHL disciplinarian Brendan Shanahan argued that one of the reasons this hit was worthy of a suspension was the fact that Clutterbuck never controlled the puck during the sequence in question.
