Dan Ellis failed to carry over the momentum from Friday's shutout as he and the Hurricanes lost 5-3 to the Flyers on Saturday night.
He was rewarded with his second straight start because of his 33-save shutout. The magic lasted for just one night, though, as Ellis gave up four goals on 12 shots in 20:52. Cam Ward came made 11 saves in relief and is pretty much guaranteed to get the team's next start in net on Monday.
