Jake Gardiner not ruled out for Wednesday

Jake Gardiner (neck/head) hasn't been ruled out for Wednesday's game against Pittsburgh.
However, don't be surprised if the Leafs decide to hold him out for another game after coach Randy Carlyle speaks with team doctors and management before making a decision on the young defenseman's status. Gardiner has declared himself fit to play and he's just waiting for the green light from the doctors.
