Dubnyk pulled after ugly first period
Devan Dubnyk - G - Edmonton Oilers
Jan. 23, 2013 - 1:15 AM ET

Devan Dubnyk was pulled in the first period of Edmonton's 6-3 loss to San Jose on Tuesday night after allowing six goals on 17 shots.

Dubnyk played very well in the Oilers' season opener, but he was a totally different goaltender on Tuesday night. Hopefully he can bounce back, or else his chances of keeping the starting goaltending spot when Nikolai Khabibulin returns from injury are slim. Yann Danis came in for relief of Dubnyk and stopped all 14 shots he faced.
