Drayson Bowman eager to impress on top line

Drayson Bowman skated with Eric Staal and Alexander Semin on Monday at practice.
Coach Kirk Muller likes the way Bowman utilizes his size and speed. He recorded five shots during his 9:30 of ice time in Carolina's 5-1 loss to Florida on Saturday. Bowman played mostly on the fourth line in the contest and he was on the ice when Patrick Dwyer scored the team's lone goal. "Hopefully I'll be able to skate and open up some things for them," Bowman said of his promotion. "Then get out on the forecheck and hunt that puck down."
