Sharks out to prove they're not too old

One of the Sharks' biggest challenges this season will be proving that they still have enough left in the tank.
San Jose looked "old" against the Blues by last year's playoffs. San Jose's top trio -- Joe Thornton (33), Patrick Marleau (33) and Dan Boyle (36) -- are key to their success, and of the team's more notable depth players, only Logan Couture is younger than 28. "We want to manage the group as best we can energy-wise, fatigue-wise, but also win games," coach Todd McLellan said. "You can't get caught over-managing and maybe not having some of them play as much as they'need."
