Schneider fails first test as Canucks starter

Cory Schneider posted a season-opening performance to forget, allowing five goals on 14 shots before getting pulled midway through the second period as the Canucks dropped a 7-3 decision to Anaheim Saturday.
After an exciting opening period that finished tied at two, the Ducks took control in a three minute span early in the second period, scoring three times before the seven minute mark and chasing Schneider from the game. Roberto Luongo allowed two goals on 10 shots in relief.
