Report: Stars make Jamie Benn an offer

The Dallas Stars reportedly made a big pitch to restricted free agent Jamie Benn on Sunday.
According to Sportsnet's Nick Kypreos, Benn received a multi-year offer that would pay him as much as $5 million per year. However, there still hasn't been anything agreed to yet. Benn cannot attend training camp with the Stars until he signs a new deal. Once he does agree to terms, he will line up as the team's number one center
