Cam Atkinson invited to Blue Jackets camp

Cam Atkinson will be invited to training camp this season for the Columbus Blue Jackets.
It is expected that four other members of the Springfield Falcons of the AHL will be invited: Ryan Johansen, Jonathan Audy-Marchessault, Tim Erixon and David Savard. Atkinson was having a great AHL season as he was third in scoring with 38 points including 17 goals, trailing only Jordan Eberle and Justin Schultz. The Blue Jackets hope that his scoring prowess continues into the NHL and it could happen as he had back-to-back 30 goal seasons with Boston College and had a hat trick and seven points in a five game scoring streak with the Blue Jackets at the tail-end of last season.
