
According to an Renaud Lavoie's NHL source, the deadline to save the 2012-13 campaign is Jan. 11.
That's consistent with NHL deputy commissioner Bill Daly's earlier suggestion that we needed an agreement by mid-January to save the season. The NHL doesn't want to play less than 48 games and seems willing to cancel what remains of the 2012-13 campaign if that threshold is no long possible.
