Interim coach Randy Wittman has been told to play the Wizards' young pieces, according to CBS' Ken Berger.
This is the only logical explanation for why Jan Vesely continues to start. The No. 6 overall pick has flopped in his three starts, averaging 3.0 points, 4.7 rebounds and 2.0 assists in 23.3 minutes. Wittman may stick with Vesely as part of the first unit, but rugged second-year man Trevor Booker is earning more minutes off the bench.
