One of three mediators has been removed from the NHL and NHLPA meetings set to start later in the week.
While the job of the mediators is to listen and let both sides know what direction the talks should take in continuing discussions, the decision is non-binding. Guy Serota, one of three mediators named, was quickly removed as some offensive remarks were found on his twitter account which was later said to have been hacked. No replacement has been named as of yet. Stay tuned as perhaps these new sessions could kick start the process and lead to a new CBA.
