Pittsburgh prospect Brian Dumoulin, along with a number of other Penguin defenseman, is feeling a playing time crunch with Wilkes-Barre of the AHL.
Due to the lockout and the Pens' over abundance of defensemen prospects, playing time with the Baby Penguins is at a premium. Dumoulin, Joe Morrow, Brian Strait, Robert Bortuzzo, Simon Despres as well as other lesser prospects are fighting for playing time and the lack thereof could affect their development. "It's been tough," Dumoulin said. "You gotta bring your 'A' game, whether it's in practice or in games, to make sure you stay in the lineup." At least the Pens have a number of excellent options for their blueline going forward.
