So far 422 NHL games have been cancelled
Sidney Crosby - C - Pittsburgh Penguins
Nov. 24, 2012 - 10:10 AM ET

With Friday's cancellation of games through December 14th, the lockout has now claimed 422 games in total.

That's 34.3% of the schedule. It doesn't seem the NHL and the NHLPA are getting any closer to a resolution. NHLPA executive director Donald Fehr stated that the sides are still about $182 million apart and NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman believes the two sides are still very far apart on core economic issues. The union is toying with the idea of decertifying, but that process will threaten the entire season. There does not seem to be a quick resolution in sight.
