Pittsburgh area takes hit with each lost game
Sidney Crosby - C - Pittsburgh Penguins

The Pittsburgh-area economy loses about $2.1 million in revenue per every home game lost to the lockout.

Often forgotten during this whole work stoppage is the affect it has on team employees and local businesses. A study from VisitPittsburgh indicates the Penguins collect between $1 million to $1.3 million in revenue, meaning the local economy brings in about $1 million. Retail stores will also be taking a hit during the holiday season.
