The National Hockey League is looking for the Players Association to give them a formal proposal when the two sides next meet.
The sides met on Monday for the first time in eight days and the meeting lasted less than two hours. "We'd like to know where (the NHLPA is) on all the issues and we asked them to think about putting together a comprehensive proposal for us to consider," NHL deputy commissioner Bill Daly said. "It's our position (that) we've made a couple comprehensive proposals in a row. We'd like to know where they are on all the issues and we asked them to think about putting together a comprehensive proposal for us to consider." NHLPA head Donald Fehr will talk with his constituents on Tuesday and both sides could return to the bargaining table by Wednesday. Stay tuned.
