Daniel Cleary (knee) should be ready for camp
Daniel Cleary - W - Detroit Red Wings
April 25, 2012 - 2:15 PM ET

Daniel Cleary will undergo surgery on his left knee during the first week of May.

It is expected that he will require 6-8 weeks of rehabilitation time, but that should make his available for the start of the training camp in the fall. Cleary played through knee troubles for the vast majority of the 2011-12 campaign. "There's significant issues going on, tears, loose cartilage, bone on bone, a lot of fluid build up," he said. "I couldn't walk without a limp since November. The games were real hard."
