Van Gundy has been linked to several different openings, but he's taken his name out of consideration. It is a family decision, according to Van Gundy. He'll wait for the right opportunity to present itself and will have plenty of teams drooling over him whenever he decides the time is right to re-enter the arena.

Although Larry Drew's contract doesn't expire until June 30, there is no indication that the Hawks plan to retain him and both sides have started pursuing other options. It would be a major shock to see Drew back in Atlanta despite the job he did with the Hawks this season because GM Danny Ferry wants to install his own regime after taking over last season. Nate McMillan is the other known candidate to have interviewed already, but the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that there are "others" who have yet to be officially interviewed. Yahoo! Sports previously reported the Hawks will pursue Van Gundy with an eye on landing Dwight Howard.

Orlando has granted the veteran permission because he's just not in their future plans. he has two y ears left on his deal for approximately $15 million, but only half of his salary each season is guaranteed. The Magic will attempt to trade him during the offseason.

GM Rob Hennigan said in mid-April that no decision has been made on Turkoglu's future, but he was shut down earlier in the season when healthy to allow the kids to play in Orlando, and it would be a major surprise if the two sides don't work out a buyout. "I'm happy I got to be a part of some of the great, great moments here in Orlando and no one can ever change history," Turkoglu said. He certainly sounds like a guy on his way out the door.

Glen Davis is expected to return from his fractured foot as the starting power forward. The Magic may not want to stunt the growth of exciting prospect Maurice Harkless at small forward, and Arron Afflalo is entrenched at shooting guard. Regardless, Harris is going to play a major role for Orlando whether he's starting or coming off the bench. His 17.3/8.5/2.1 triple slash over the final 27 games was eye-opening.

Big Baby has lost an unspecified amount of weight after changing his diet in order to take pressure off of his foot, but there is a chance he is dealt in the offseason as the Magic continue their youth movement. "He has a decision to make," Davis said of GM Rob Hennigan when asked if he was in Orlando's long-term plans. "It could go both ways with a lot of things."

Beat writer Brian Schmitz noted Vucevic isn't untouchable if an interested team is offering a "star" in exchange, which seems rather obvious. Regardless, we don't anticipate Orlando having any inclination to move Vucevic after an extremely promising sophomore season that saw him average 13.1 points, 11.9 rebounds, 0.8 steals and 1.0 blocks on 51.9 percent shooting over 77 games as a starter.
