Hector Noesi - S - Seattle Mariners

Hector Noesi pitched eight innings and allowed three runs Tuesday in a loss to the Rangers.

Noesi gave up just two walks and three hits all night. Unfortunately, two of the hits followed the two walks in the third inning, giving the Rangers all of their runs. It was still an impressive outing for the ex-Yankee. He's 2-5 with a 5.26 ERA, but his 1.19 WHIP is very good.

Franklin Gutierrez - OF - Seattle Mariners

Franklin Gutierrez (heel) is taking batting practice and doing light running, but he still needs more rehab work in Arizona before beginning a 20-day rehab assignment.

In other words, he's not close to rejoining the Mariners. Gutierrez began the season on the disabled list with a torn pectoral muscle, but the heel injury is the bigger issue right now. Manager Eric Wedge recently estimated that a return in late June is the "best-case scenario."

Ichiro Suzuki - OF - Seattle Mariners

Ichiro Suzuki went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run scored in Monday's win over the Rangers.

Facing fellow countryman Yu Darvish, Ichiro produced RBI knocks in the first and third innings. The veteran hitter is now batting 5-for-7 against Darvish. Ichiro's overall numbers are still well below his career averages. But he has been consistently solid on a young and resurgent Mariners team.

Felix Hernandez - S - Seattle Mariners

Felix Hernandez allowed one run in eight innings and struck out seven Monday in a victory over the Rangers.

Mitch Moreland homered and doubled off Hernandez, but the rest of the Rangers combined for four measly singles. It was a bounce-back effort for Felix, who gave up 12 runs -- 10 earned -- in losing his previous two starts. He's allowed one run or fewer in five of his 10 starts this season and is 4-3 with a 2.80 ERA overall.

Blake Beavan - S - Seattle Mariners

Blake Beavan held the Rockies to two runs on seven hits in five innings of Sunday's 6-4 win.

Beavan struck out seven and walked one in improving to 2-4. A nice day, though Beavan has now gone five straight outings without producing a quality start. The owner of a 4.46 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and 25/7 K/BB ratio through 42 1/3 innings, he's off the radar in mixed leagues.

Justin Smoak - 1B - Seattle Mariners

Justin Smoak went 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBI in Sunday's win over the Rockies.

The Mariners completed a three-game road sweep with the victory. As for Smoak, the multi-hit effort was his fifth in nine games, helping him raise his triple slash from .173/.229/.264 on May 9 to .218/.258/.333. It's at least a start down the road toward mixed-league respectability.

Kyle Seager - 3B - Seattle Mariners

Kyle Seager went 3-for-4 with a walk, a homer and three RBI in Saturday's win over the Rockies.

Seager had zero multi-hit games between May 8-17, but he's now gone 5-for-7 with a walk, a home run and five RBI over two games against the Rockies. The 24-year-old seems to like Coors a heckuva lot more than SAFECO. Unfortunately, he only has one more contest in the thin air.
