NBA teams reportedly were asked to vote on two new proposals that would expand the use of instant replay.
The changes, according to ESPN.com, include the ability to use replay to determine whether a field goal attempt was a 2- or 3-pointer and for use when the game clock malfunctions during a play with not time left in a quarter.
In the 2007-08 season, use of instant replay was restricted to reviewing made baskets and fouls called with no time remaining on the clock at the end of each quarter, reviewing flagrant fouls and for altercations.
Kobe Bryant hit a baseline jump shot with 4.2 seconds left and the Los Angeles Lakers wrapped up a six-game road trip by holding on to beat the Raptors 94-92 on Sunday, their eighth victory in nine meetings with Toronto
