A year's salary! (Being a public school teacher, it's not much!)

I would cheer on the Cubs (at Fenway Park)....and I am a red sox fan, but I love the Cubs....

I'd give up chocolate, fast food, liquor, Mayor Daley, George Bush... wait this is supposed to be sacrifices?

As a lifelong Cubs fan, I'd be willing to purge my closet of clothes that have been in use for a decade that my mom has been begging me to get rid of and give them to the poor in the hopes of a miracle. I'd be willing to give up almost all my video games, most of my books that I've kept in storage, and God knows what else to clean up space to start fresh. Anything I can do to help the Cubs purge the 1908/1945 burden and start fresh too.
— BV, Joliet IL
I'd give up drinking (after a month of post victory celebration!), my wife, the internet, my job.....anything.....it's been a long 44 years of my life!
— Sam Hoepner
I began watching the cubs on my grandpa's lap 50 years ago. He died never seeing them reach the series and as far as giving something up that is a little ridiculous. I would like to see the smile on his face if they did win the whole thing.
— Mike B
I definitely ain't saying that I'd give my left nut like Denis Leary did for the Red Sox in '04.
— Jeff S
I WOULD GIVE UP MY PRIDE FOR ONE DAY AND BE WILLING TO CLEAN THE MEN'S WASHROOM AFTER A CUBS GAME. A JOB NOBODY WOULD WANT . ALSO I'LL NEED A WORLD SERIES TICKET AT ONE OF THE CUBS HOME GAMES IN ORDER TO MEET THIS GOAL. MAKE THAT TWO TICKETS BECASE I WILL NEED A FRIEND TO HELP ME WITH THE CLEAN UP. WHEN YOU WAITED SINCE ( 1969 ) AS I HAVE YOU WILL DO ANYTHING. GO CUBS GO !!!!
