WEC releases full fight card for June 1 event

Pulver-Faber to headline biggest event in organization's history

World Extreme Cagefighting presents its most ambitious event when the Zuffa-owned company invades Sacramento's Arco Arena on June 1.

The card features two title fights, including the main event: WEC featherweight champion Urijah Faber vs. former UFC lightweight champ Jens Pulver.

Faber is riding a 12-match win streak, most recently defeating Jeff Curran via guillotine choke last December. Pulver, meanwhile, dropped down a weight division to 145 and moved over to the WEC from UFC after falling to B.J. Penn last June. In his WEC debut, he choked out Cub Swanson, setting up a meeting between he and Faber.

Miguel Torres will also be putting his title on the line when he defends his bantamweight belt against Yoshiro Maeda. Torres, at 33-1, has one of the best records in the sport.

Also on the card is debuting Mark Munoz, a former NCAA wrestling champion considered a top prospect in the light-heavyweight division. Munoz will be fighting Chuck Grigsby.

The event will air on Versus starting at 9 pm ET.
